Teacher Appreciation Reception
"No day holds as much promise as the first day of school." All area teachers and staff are invited to relax, kick back, meet with their fellow educators and receive some well-deserved appreciation as the Chamber hosts its annual Back to School Teacher Appreciation Reception in August. It’s a come and go affair, with hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a make your own sundae bar, and enjoyable entertainment. Door prizes add to the festive atmosphere. All area schools are invited: District 1, District 8, St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Trinity Christian School, Headstart, 8 Mile School District #6 in Trenton and Williston State College.
Why does the Chamber of Commerce do this for teachers? In a nutshell, educators are preparing our future workforce, not to mention future business and civic leadership. The business community needs employees ready to go to work, leaders with vision, and entrepreneurs that will bring us new products and services.
