Meisel Named Teacher of the Year

Meisel Named Teacher of the Year  

TOTY.JPGThe Williston Area Chamber of Commerce along with XTO Energy hosted the 28th Annual Teacher Appreciation Reception on August 27, 2018 at the Williston ARC. Over 160 teachers attended this event that shows the teachers just how much the business community appreciates them.

 

The Chamber’s Leadership & Education Committee works hard every year to show their support for the teachers by providing this fun event to help kick off the school year.

 

This year the committee added an award, Teacher of the Year. Eleven teachers were nominated; Susan Angermeier – Hagan Elementary School, Victoria Arneson – Bakken Elementary School, Tara Christofferson – Lewis & Clark Elementary School, Angela Dahl – Wilkinson Elementary School, Mary Drumm – Williston High School, Karla Falcon – Bakken Elementary School, Sara Faulkner – Williston Middle School, Lori Geltel – Rickard Elementary School, Joe Meisel – Williston High School, Sadie Storbakken – Wilkinson Elementary School, and Audra Zimmermann – Bakken Elementary School.

 

Joe Meisel, a Spanish Language Instructor at Williston High School, was named Teacher of the Year for 2018. Meisel was nominated for his dedication to the students as well as going above and beyond for each of his students. He is at every game, play, musical, etc. to support all of Williston High Schools students.
