Planting Roots 

Williston, ND—The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC) is proud to celebrate Katie Brewer’s Leadership Williston Project, Planting Roots.  

Planting Roots was a student-led project that planted 12 cherry blossom trees in Westlawn Park as a symbol of growth, memory, and connection in the community. The trees are fully developed and beginning to bloom, and Katie is proud to help commemorate their planting in a meaningful and lasting way. 

Leadership Williston is a community focused program hosted by the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce that aims to develop and inspire local leaders. Participants gain hands-on experience, connect with fellow residents, and learn about the key sectors shaping Williston. Each class member is required to complete an individual project that gives back to the community.
